Social Media Supervisor

The Social Media Supervisor is responsible for planning, managing and executing social media strategy across a variety of clients. The supervisor is expected to impact the client’s business through social media, collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistent brand voice and tone, and proactively leverage new channels and media types. This position reports to the SVP, Communications & Content, but is expected to work collaboratively across the digital, marketing strategy, insights & analytics, and creative teams.

At Sales Factory, an effective Social Media Supervisor is expected to:

  • Establish and manage the social strategy for all agency clients as well as the agency itself
  • Be the subject matter expert when it comes to social media overall and for the major and emerging platforms
  • Ensure that all published content supports the clients’ strategies, objectives, and brand guidelines
  • Oversee community management for client accounts, monitoring activity and engaging with users while adhering to client expectations and industry best practices
  • Establish a community management response plan based on issues and crises, as needed
  • Proactively build communities of fans and influencers for top-level accounts
  • Develop and manage client budgets
  • Develop and implement social media advertising campaigns in conjunction with the Digital team
  • Set social media KPI’s per client/platform, and report on social media engagement, and ROI
  • Leverage social media insights to drive client success and agency success
  • Manage and mentor social media team members 
  • Support the new business team with plans and presentations
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop unique and engaging content, leveraging diverse channels and media types

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a social media management role
  • Knowledge of social media channels, strategy and content creation
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with social media publishing and reporting tools
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • BS/BA in creative writing, marketing, journalism, mass communications or related field
